NANA (Nonni in Affitto, Nipoti in Affitto) is a service design project connecting two generations that both have something the other is missing: time on one side, someone to learn from on the other.
The service
Two groups, one gap. Older people with more time than ever; younger people who want to learn something hands-on, from someone who has done it. NANA puts them in the same room, and turns abandoned spaces into the place where that happens.
Design direction
Moodboards first, then a style tile: colour, type, tone and components fixed before a single screen. It is the step that makes everything downstream faster, and the one people skip.
Built, not mocked up
The app is not a clickable mockup. It is a real interface running online, so the service can be tried instead of explained.
Open the app ↗AI inside the process
I used Claude Design as a design tool throughout, exploring its new features on a real brief. AI integration in my own workflow is something I keep pushing: not to generate the work, but to move faster between idea and something you can look at.
See the landing page ↗Approach & craft
Moodboards and style tile, and the full app: a working prototype anyone can open in a browser, plus the landing page around it.
The outcome
- A prototype you can actually use, not a slide deck
- One visual system carried from moodboard to shipped screen
- AI pushed all the way through the design process
