A short film on Gen Z's decision fatigue.
The paradox
In a world saturated with stimuli we face hundreds of micro decisions a day. The more options we have, the less able we are to choose.
The comfort zone
So we retreat into "the usual": the same order, the same route, the same playlist. The comfort zone becomes a cognitive refuge, not laziness, but mental survival.
From a vague brief
The brief was deliberately vague. I turned that into freedom: concept maps in Figjam, Midjourney boards to pre-visualize the mood before shooting a single frame.
The visual language
Cut in Premiere Pro and finished in After Effects, for a hypnotic, fragmented rhythm that reproduces the overload pushing us toward the safest choice.
Approach & craft
Digital art direction in a team of two: I set the concept and the visual language, and directed the videomaker from moodboards to final cut.
The outcome
- A sharp concept born from a vague brief
- Edit-level attention to detail
- A feeling Gen Z knows too well, given a name
